1 About the Destination: Moreshwar Temple is one of the Ashtavinayak Temples dedicated to Lord Ganesha named Mayureshwar. It is believed to be the starting point ie first temple of lord Ganesha in the eight temples of the Ashtavinayak yatra.Temple was built by Subhedar Gole, the construction of the temple was done during the Adil Shahi period.

6 History Mayureshwara Temple,Morgaon is the first Ganesha temple in Ashtavinayaka.Temple was built by Subhedar Gole, the construction of temple was done during Adil Shahi period.In the past, the Asura named Sindhu had created havoc on the earth, the gods finally worshiped Ganapati to destroy him, Ganapati mounted on a peacock and killed the Sindhu Asura here. Becouse of this Lord Ganesh  got the name Mayureshwar here.Due to the large number of peacocks in this village, it is named as Morgaon
